Owl in Dead Tree By Albert Cardwell
I knew this owl was in the area. I setup my tripod and camera and waited for hours and never saw anything. I took my camera and part of my equipment back to my vehicle and returned for my tripod. When I got back the owl was starring right at me without a camera in sight. I quickly went back and got my camera. It had gotten so dark that I barely could see to focus. I used a flash with a fresnel lens that extended the flash range. I'm sure it saw white dots for awhile. There was a larger one in the woods behind me hooting the entire time that I was photographing this one. I wasn't sure if this was a female owl or just a young one. >www.CollectiblePhotography.com
